Direct messages and voice calls are encrypted end-to-end with post-quantum cryptography — the server stores zero plaintext and can't listen to your calls. Voice runs on MLS 1.0 (RFC 9420) — the IETF's standardized group messaging protocol, the same family Discord DAVE uses. Server channels use transport encryption.

Your Keys, Your Device
DM encryption keys are generated on your device and never leave it. Only you and the person you're messaging can decrypt your conversations. At sign-in your password isn't sent to our servers either — login uses SRP6a (zero-knowledge), so the server only ever sees a non-reversible verifier, never your password in plain text.
