Our philosophy
If a feature doesn't cost us significant money to run, there's no reason to put it behind a paywall. Voice quality presets, encryption, custom emoji, moderation — these don't scale with bandwidth, so they stay free for everyone.
Premium features are limited to things that genuinely cost us real money per minute or megabyte: high-resolution video streaming and large file storage. That's it.
